• • The questionnaire, preliminary evaluation and preliminary plan are free.
• • Backup services and storage consumption are separate items.
• • You don't have to buy new hardware or move everything to the cloud.

External immutable backup

Keep an independent backup copy outside the production environment. Optional S3-compatible immutable storage helps preserve recovery points if local servers, virtualization management, or backup infrastructure are compromised.

• • Local backup for fast recovery + off-site immutable copy for survivability — complementary tiers, not alternatives.
• • Available with supported external S3 storage, including Hetzner Object Storage, or another storage platform appropriate to your requirements.
• • Versioning and object-lock retention where supported; retention set by restore history, ransomware dwell-time assumptions and regulatory needs.
• • Separate backup credentials: compromise of virtualization or production administration must not reach the external copy.
• • Restore testing is part of the design — a successful upload is not proof of a working backup.

Local redundancy, replication and snapshots are availability measures and are never treated as an immutable off-site copy. The specific storage platform is proposed at contract stage.
